Burning dan- Poi teacher & founder I've been a body movement practitioner since age 7 when I started a 10 year gymnastics practice. Over the years, I've practiced yoga, tai chi, judo, surfing, transcendental & vipassana meditation as well as countless sports. I've taught Flow Arts, gymnastics, photography and English. I've got an ongoing love of language and clear precise optimal communication. I naturally have an inspiring encouraging energy that brings out the best in students. I first saw Flow Arts performed by buskers in Paris in 2002, but was blocked from trying it by the misconception that "Other Kinds of People" spin fire. My breakthrough into the world of Flow Arts came later that year at my first Burning Man with the revelation that there are no "Other Kinds of People" and that anybody can do ANYTHING. My love of Poi was born and I haven't put them down since. I love sharing Flow to inspire others to the same "There are no Other Kinds of People" breakthrough, for all the confidence it creates, and all the benefits toward linking mind, body and spirit. I've attended conferences, workshops, festivals, classes, retreats, parties, concerts, and any manner of gatherings of the best and brightest Flow Artists on 4 continents. I'm one of only 28 world-wide leaders of official Burning Man Fire Conclave troupes. I was on the committee that choreographed the entire 700 performer show/ritual at the climax of Burning Man 04. I've spent the last few years traveling the world to train with the tippy top most inspiring innovative Flow Artists of the world and they acknowledge me as a peer. I'm a photographer, poi dancer, swashbuckler, computer programmer, experientialist, didgeridooer and traveler. I wear my hats at an angle and am often accused of being able to pull off anything. I'm like Han Solo with The Force Flowing through me. In everything I do, I endeavour to espouse and inspire enthusiastic novelty. My intention is for that to come through in my photography, my fire dancing, and my interactions with everybody I meet. Especially you. That's my picture (my face, my fire spinning, and I made the photo) in the background.
