Poi

Poi is the Maori (aboriginal New Zealanders) word for ball. Poi is essentially a tennis-ball-sized weight on the end of a cord that's about as long as your arm. You hold one in each hand and swing and spin them around in controlled chaotic patterns. Poi has been used to communicate, focus, exercise and woo for thousands of years.

Poi 1 is a 6 week course covering the basics of Spinning Poi and learning the Art of Flow, plus a bonus (optional) 7th week light up session. Sean and Spin will be teaching Poi 1 in Orange County. This class is designed for the total beginner spinner, and can only be taught the way we learned it; with Rubber Chicken, Galaxy, High Fives and a lot of Flow.
